yes – I watched this the other day. I love his take on this! Have you seen Dan Meyers’ Ted talk about changing the way we present math problems? If not, check it out.
Yes, I’ve admired Dan Meyer more than once on this blog :-). Here, for example, I link to that talk. You’re right. It’s an excellent TED talk, and I’m especially glad the public gets to hear some of the things we think about as educators and the challenges we face.
sorry – I am new to this blogging business! I am just now starting to look at the other comments out there, and I haven’t gone back very far on many of the blogs – I look forward to seeing more of your comments. It is amazing what is out there, when we take our heads up out of the classroom!
