Thanks for sharing this, John. I like Dan Meyer’s emphasis on patient problem-solving as opposed to formulas without understanding. I also like his presentation, especially the visual effects on the screen. I have attended many poorly-presented math lectures, so it’s a relief to see a clear, concise, well-presented talk. Mathematicians and math educators should pay attention to both the content and the presentation of talks like this one!
